Y’all, I FINALLY got an Orchid 🤩🤩

It’s an espresso orchid and believe it or not, it came from our local grocery store! AND…..I only paid $8 for it! It’s a baby in a 2in pot with moss! Idk much about them and their care so any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated 🥰

Then I happened to see this big ole echeveria sitting close by and just HAD to grab it!! I just LOVE the colors on it! They look completely different in all the different lighting! It’s sooo pretty with the grays and yellowish - peach like colors 💕

It was labeled a 4in succulent, but no actual name! When I added it to my oasis, it said Pearl Echeveria! Do you think that’s what it is?!? 🤔 Just wondering 💭
Congrats on your finds. They look lovely, the orchid especially. For caretips you could browse the #phalaenopsisorchid hashtag. Or listen to miss orchid girl on youtube. She has lots of beginner videos and tutorial. Basically lots of indirect light, no water on crown and leaves (including misting), water only when roots in pot are turning silver, humidity is very appreciated but not vital, fertilize with orchid specific fertilizer according to instructions. That's about it. Repot when the blooms are over into good orchid medium (again, there are great videos on that topic by miss orchid girl, as with anything orchid related)
Congratulations! She's beautiful! ❤️
@JenniferNoel wow!! The color in those orchid flowers are just stunning. Such a score for $8! As far as the Echeveria it is a Echeveria Lilacina or most commonly known as the Ghost Echeveria. For some reason Greg doesn’t seem to be able to narrow down the species on these succs. Mine always come up as a ghost or pearl too! Here are the ID’s from my other apps.
@JenniferNoel. I love them! They're gorgeous!
Don't use ice cubes to water the orchid no matter what the stupid tag might say. 😉
