Battling fungus and root rot woes

Recent battles with fungus have hit us hard. So many have fallen to #greymold and then root rot. I didn’t know #rootrot could spread to other plants! Another reason to keep them separated. About to go spend a ridiculous amount of money on Amazon for #succulentsoil It got my #EcheveriaLaui yesterday. Hey Anne! Do these pots have drainage? That may be the culprit! Root rot can’t spread between plants unless you’re reusing water or soil.
That’s terrible 😞
Sorry to hear there are more plant problems. 🪴
Oh yes ma’am! Drilled many a hole this year…wait that sounds bad…
Thanks. Just spent $200 on organic soils. I’ll have to update my spreadsheet 😒 @Kiersten I read many places how to “sterilize” the soil but my micro-biology boyfriend said the methods recommended aren’t enough to kill fungus. I have let most pots co-mingle while butt chugging. That’s the end of that.
Let the sifting and boiling commence!!
I’m keeping the props in just-now-opened fine coir…
I mixed chicken grit in my soil bc all of a sudden root rot was happening to all my succulents I've lost most of mine and just started to get numbers back up but the grit has helped tremendously with allowing the soil to dry properly and not give root rot. I also spray my soil with alcohol and wipe the pot with an entifungal before putting the soil it. Idk if it truly helps but so far something is helping @Yeeha234
