🌟NEARLY 150 MEMBERS - so close (148) !🌟
FEATURE: CP Records and Pings for fungus Gnats
Today I was looking at some interesting records when it comes to Carnivorous Plants (CPs) and here are just a few:
* Largest CP is the giant montane picher (Nepenthes rajah) which can contain up to 118.3 fl oz (3.5 litres) of water or 84.5 fl oz of digestive fluids (2.5 litres), thats more than a usual container of milk ! One pitcher was found which was 1 foot 4.1 inches (41 cms) on 26 March 2011.
*Venus fly traps can live up to 20 years in the wild (they only occur within 75-mile radius of Wilmington, North Carolina)
*Largest VFT was recorded as 2.4 inches (6.1 centremetres) across the midrib on & June 2021 from the “Alien” cultivator grown in Colorado Springs, Colorado USA by Heremiah Harris.

@CourtlyKingfern Hi Evelyn, I am not sure what they labeled it as but to confirm, the best sarracenia expert i find on Greg is @Merranda but you can share your plant from your Oasis by clicking on the 3 little dots on the gut hand side and clicking share then pasting the link in your post. I have added a photo as to what Greg app identified it as and I would agree with that ID but Merranda may know better.

@LaSiguanaba I love pygmy sundews! Some of them can differ to normal sundews (some of mind gave a summer dormancy and flower in the winter, for instance) bur really depends where they are from. But they are extra cute and a nice change from eg Cape sundews
