Rings of reddish violet flowers are usually present. Theses are one of the most prolific bloomers of the Mammillarias.
These are awesome but also suck at the same time. The flowers only last one day for a few hours so you have to pay attention or you’ll miss them. And then you’ll have to wait for new ones to grow. New ones are growing now and it gets a bunch at once. But it sucks when the flowers die so fast. The mamm and others I sent the flowers last a few days not a few hours
@Sassylimey definitely the one mammillaria I have blooms the most. It blooms way more than all my other mamms also.
Wowza, that is a gorgeous collection of flowering cactus @SirLiquorice. Will they bloom indoors, or must they be outside. Does frequency watered play a role in blooming? Thanks again for the info.
@Stall54Jo this one blooms inside all the time. This one blooms inside all the time. It’s never outside. It stays in the back window and gets the hot afternoon sun. Some flower indoors and some not so much. Some flower without direct sunlight and some need it. The gymnoclaycium baldianum is a good one because it flowers well indoors a lot and comes in different colors. And mine changes colors. Not sure if you’ve seen how it changes from a peach or salmon to a bright pink as the days pass?
They are so beautiful. Wish me luck. I'm going to try my hand at this plant.
