Hello everyone, I hope you’re well. Here’s a photo of my lemon tree. I pruned it today. I planted the tree, many years ago, when it was 1 foot tall now it’s about 20 feet. I also included a photo of how large the thorns are on it. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #NewGrowth #SucculentLove #PetsAndPlants #PlantCorner #OutdoorGrowing #RarePlants #PlantID #PlantHaul #TropicalPlants @AdonicKohleria2 @BuffCaperspurge @DreamMachine @FamedGymealily @princesspitstop @BabeVila @ThatPlantBitch @sunnymatcha @somewhatsara @MockingJay
@QuickBigfoot56 , three years. I planted this tree 25 years ago.
@Malagueña WOW 😱 It’s SO big, I didn’t know they could grow so tall. And those thorns are no joke! I’m currently looking for the perfect dwarf varieties of citrus that I can grow inside since they are not hardy in my area, because fresh citrus just sounds like one of the best things ever. 🥰
@DreamMachine , this variety is hardy. I planted two grapefruit and an orange tree at the same time. They were killed by frost and I am in west central Florida. This tree has survived frosts, hurricanes and a big oak tree being blown over into it.
@Malagueña Dang, good to know! Do you happen to know which one it is?
@DreamMachine Yes, it’s a Ponderosa Lemon.
@DaringColtsfoot , No this variety will grow to 20 feet. (Over 6 meters)
@DaringColtsfoot it IS possible but it may never bear fruit, i think at least
