Excited for my new plant haul
More #plantmail and the excitement is real. This is my first order from #plantproper and it was purchased on that #plantstory app....dangerous fun! I think at least one of these is in common with what Marissa @Lifeis2short ordered (Syngonium Panda?)
So cool. From left to right ( I hope ..Greg almost always rearranges my photos, so if it does, the group photo will still be in order l to r):
1. Sport variegated Gloriousum (If that sticks, imagine how cool this plant could be in the future...if I can help it to thrive)
2. Aglaonema Pictum Tricolor (my FAVE 🥰😍 and a total wishlist plant)!
3. Syngonium Three Kings
4. Syngonium Panda 🐼 (love it! & this one was only $10! Wish I'd bought 3!!)
Greg changed the lineup....it is now Aglaonema Tri-color, Gloriousum, Syngo Panda, then Syngo 3 Kings.

@JCPlantProper Janai, Generally speaking, do you know if Plant Proper watered these right before shipping? I always find it hard to estimate when the last watering was as I'm entering new plants into my Oasis.

@Bunny413 I'm SO glad you posted that pic. I also ordered a "starter" Tricolor, and it has the leaves like the one on the right in your photo but even younger, with NO variegation yet. I was wondering if it was the wrong plant 😂. But now I see it should just take some time. That middle stage is pretty cool....like they're being painted!!!
@HeyLillie Go ahead and look for them again. I know they were really expensive the last 6 months, but it seems like the supply has opened back up and all of the importers have new supplies. This, of course, has made the prices less ridiculous because they are shipping from local (U.S.) locations.
@UltraKoreanfir, still really high! The only seller with a good deal is $23 for a tiny plug..... which I'm sure I'll end up doing. Lol
@HeyLillie spend a little bit more and get a 4" pot. Mine was $35 from Plant Proper and I was getting other plants as well, so the shipping charge was one fee. It didn't hurt quite so bad and I got a plant that already had a few camo leaves. I also bought a "starter" plant from Green Escape on Etsy, and it was $25 with no variegation yet (a plug). 3 or 4 months ago when I was looking, it was $25 with a $75 shipping fee because they were coming from overseas. At least now, shipping is pretty standard around $10, & you can get something a little bigger for not too much of a price increase. If you want to wait until mine has babies in a year or two, I can send you one. By then they will probably not be all that expensive anymore.
Texas has its share of local nurseries. Make sure you ask them if/when they will have them and you might be surprised. 😉

@UltraKoreanfir, thank you for all that info. I'm kinda hoping i get one for Valentines, lol. I do have an exotics nursery near me... I just haven't been in yet!

@HeyLillie LOL! That paper one would certainly be less future stress, as once it's in place you'd never have to worry about root rot, or repotting, pests, or lighting. Epiphany....I should just get fake plants! 🤣
@UltraKoreanfir, no kidding! I actually have 2 fake pants in a dark place in my house and for a second earlier today, I was like, "gosh that's getting long, I should prop it!" 🤦🏼♀️
