Just got this cool dude. He’s slowly turning yellow tho any tips? :) water him abt once a week and fertilize every other. #Philodendron #gloriosum #fella #littlegoober #indoorplants
Gloriosum's have such magnificent leaves! They do go a bit yellow due to a number of issues. Because you're watering once a week, I don't think it's an overwatering issue. I'm not sure how much sunlight the plant gets, but I know that direct sunlight can scorch the leaves and turn them yellow, but that's usually only where direct light hits. It might be a nutrient deficiency if the fertilizer isn't balanced correctly. If the oldest leaves are yellowing, that's usually an indicator that the plant is nitrogen deficient and is pulling nutrients from an older leaf to generate new growth. If many leaves are going yellow around the edges, that might indicate a potassium deficiency.
@SunroomJungle I have her about a foot away from a NE window. I have a β€˜Full Circle’ liquid fertilizer I will start to use more frequently with waterings! Thank you!
