It’s been a bit since I posted but, just wanted to share a new #hoya bloom! This one has been a real challenge for me, so many of them blasted, but I finally got a few to open up. I think Hoya elliptica likes a cooler environment, which I can’t really give it so, so it’s a reward this one finally made it all the way to opening!

1ft to light, direct
2” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 days ago
Next time the goal is to keep all of them and not have most of them blast.

I am finally happy since this plant was my first Hoya peduncle, bet every peducle always blasted on this plant till now. πŸ˜…
Also peep them opening last night.
Such a cool, pretty plant
My Hoyas and I have an unspoken nonconsensual agreement that they’ll never flower. Same agreement with my philodendrons and aloes βœ”οΈ
What gorgeous blooms!!
@GaryPoopins are you one of those creeped out by the flowers?!
@Alinaa No! I love them! I wasn’t consulted when my plants came to this decision, unfortunately.
My mother brought me her orchid that hadn’t bloomed in a while to see if the lighting and humidity would help. I LOVED seeing that thing on my shelf every day, but she took it back… and then returned it once the flowers died. Maybe I’ll get and orchid
those are gorgeous! πŸ’š
Stunning!!! 😍

Oh that’s beautiful 😻 πŸͺ΄
@GaryPoopins they’re going to surprise you
@Alinaa I love the Hoya Elliptical. It’s on my wish list. The foliage itself is vibrant & veined. But the blooms are the icing on the cake. Yummy!!!
@GaryPoopins ahhh I see. One day I want to learn about unique orchids.. some of them are so unique looking!
@Rockrlee right?! It’s a really unique plant, definitely one of my favorites.
