Weird red bugs in my pine needles, help?

Hmm.. I guess this is plant related cuz these could possibly kill my yard plants.. I've recently noticed these weird red bugs all thru my pine needles... like... hundreds... anyone know what they are and if I should be worried? #nycgreggang #bugs #weirdbugs
Looks like a box elder bug. If that’s what it is ….They are nasty and annoying and that’s about it.
Ok.. so no harm to plant or house? @terrbear1965

@ManyLime Quick facts. From Google…..Boxelder bugs like warm areas and are attracted to buildings with a lot of southern or western exposure. They normally do not cause property damage but they can potentially stain surfaces. Once they are indoors, the only practical control is physical removal.
@terrbear1965 thank you so much. I think I'm just freaked out by the sudden sheer number of them.. yuck!
@ManyLime here is some good info too. https://extension.umd.edu/resource/boxelder-bugs
@ManyLime I don’t blame you. They are gross looking too.
