Keep it in that pot for a few weeks to let it adapt. It is a cacti so it needs direct sun. I would put it on ur window sill in a south or west window. To make sure you don’t overwater it when I water my cacti I just add some sink water and soak it every time I remember..
You can also bottom water by placing it in a pan of water and allow soil to suck it all up.
