Hi everyone! I just got my new echeveria last week and after a few days to adjust, I started introducing it to a grow light. It is in a more well lit area of my house but the sun is not very bright at all since it’s winter. I’ll be changing the pot and starting to use succulent soil today! Right now it’s the way that I purchased it. But I noticed this little growth happening and was curious if this is a good sign. I also plan to water today and using a little bit of fertilizer. This is my first time ever taking care of these so I have a lot to learn #Echeveria #NewGrowth #succulents #succulentgrowth #succulentcare #echeveriacare
That looks to be a possible beginning of a bloom or a baby! Hard to tell at this stage, but it's definitely a good sign!! ☺️ All of my succulents love grow lights. When the weather warms up, I put all my succulents outside and they love it even more.
I would venture to say that it's a good sign but I'm also brand new to succulents so please don't take my word for it lol...you do have a very pretty plant though 😍
@JesssJungle oh good! I’ll have to do that when it gets warmer for sure 😊
@BrawnyMachofern I’ll take your word because that’s what I want to believe! Lol thanks!
😍 Pretty
It is the start of a flower stalkπŸ™Œ wont take long but tbh id just wait to repot until@after it blooms. It most likely wont affect it but there is a chance the flower could die with a repot.
@TheConservator thank you so much! I had no idea. I’ll wait and see how it goes. I’m so eager to get it into better soil
Hello, Sarah, first and foremost you have a great taste as you got one gorgeous plant! Please check if what you saw was "mini" is part of the plant as in some cases it can be a part of another plant. It looks a bit off as it is a piece of a sedum. However it can also be, as others pointed out a bloom.
If it is a bloom, I'd restrain from fertilizing and even hold off on repotting till after the bloom as anything can stress the plant and lead to loose the bloom.
I am keeping the fingers crossed for you that it's in fact a bloom.
