Anthurium bakerii dropped its bloom today. It was so interesting to see how it changed over the past few months. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #Anthurium #AnthuriumAssembly #PlantTherapy #PlantCorner #BeforeAndAfter
@MariansOasis youβve been hiding this. Beautiful π. I love strap leaf anthuriums. I have a variegated Vittarifolium, a regular Vittarifolium and a Vittarifolium X Pallidiflorum .
@PoisedAlbo lol π€ͺ I thought I showed it off earlier. π€·ββοΈ. Itβs my only anthurium. I got it at an orchid show. The mother plant was in full bloom and she was huge! I instantly fell in love. And then when I saw bakerii I felt it was kismet because my sister in law, whoβs like a sister to me, married name is Baker. π€
@PoisedAlbo have you ever grown anthurium from seed? Do you need 2 plants, one with male pollen and another female receptive flower??π€·ββοΈ
@AnthuriumQueen hello my dear, itβs been a while! Wondering if you have any feedback about this anthurium. Your input is appreciated π
@MariansOasis apparently some can self pollinate somehow. Yours seem to have fruit actually
@MariansOasis it could be a long lost relative to raspberries π. Pretty!
@MariansOasis yours has pollinated. Inflorescence doesnβt last that long unless they are pollinated. Once you have the seeds and they are ready to plant, Iβd suggest putting them in moss in 3 inch humidity dome pots. Water once and place under a light and do not water again until you see the first sprout. You can mist the moss but no excess water as you wait for it to sprout. Use only rain water, if you can. Itβs a beautiful plant. I do not have this one since I have three long pallidiflorum and one other strap leaf I canβt recall the name of. Youβre doing well with it. Just keep doing what youβve been doing thus far. π
