So, my #Aglaonema pictum tricolor is really giving me a hard time! I got it as a starter plant about a year ago, maybe like 8 months ago, something like that. Anyway, she has been doing great and consistently putting out new leaves, but the problem is, ever since she bloomed a few months ago (two flowers!), every time she gets a new leaf, she kills off an older one. She never has more than 3-4 leaves at a time and itβs really bugging me! How will she ever grow up to be a lush lady if she only ever has 3 leaves? πππ Does anyone have any experience/advice? @UltraKoreanfir I know you have one, do you have any idea whatβs happening here? Am I doing something wrong? All my other aglaonemas are thriving but theyβre mature. #GregGang #NewGrowth #RarePlants #babevila

@BabeVila Shannon, in my experience with Aglaonema plants which I have a lot off, as soon as I see a bud forming I CUT it off right away. These flowers use up a lot of energy from the plant and slows down the growth of the leaves.
@YammieOf3 Nice! Congratulations π₯³ they are just so beautiful π you do have so many gorgeous Aglaonemas, I remember looking at your oasis! Actually i wonder if you could help me identify a cultivar! My friend has it, I think itβs the most gorgeous thing ever but she has no idea what kind it is and I want one but there are so many kinds, itβs impossible if you donβt know exactly what youβre looking for. The leaves look like theyβre glowing! I just love it. If not, no biggie but I thought it canβt hurt to ask lol β₯οΈ Congrats again on your new tricolor!
@BabeVila do you know where she got it from?
@BabeVila Iβm thinking it could be a Crystal Bay.
@danisgreenhouse do you have any you recommend? I normally use We the Wild Grow formula for all my plants every time I water but maybe she needs an extra boost. Iβve always been afraid of messing up with chemical ones!
@YammieOf3 Sorry, no but she usually gets them from local nurseries or Loweβs. Not sure about this one, sheβs had it for years. Iβll look up Crystal Bay thanks π
@BabeVila I use WTW but thatβs only liquid worm castings so itβs not a complete fertilizer. Iβd recommend in addition something like Dyna Gro Foliage Pro or I personally use GT Foliage Focus.
@danisgreenhouse awesome thank you very much!
@BabeVila I agree with @danisgreenhouse on how to help with this plant!! ππ»
