So, my #Aglaonema pictum tricolor is really giving me a hard time! I got it as a starter plant about a year ago, maybe like 8 months ago, something like that. Anyway, she has been doing great and consistently putting out new leaves, but the problem is, ever since she bloomed a few months ago (two flowers!), every time she gets a new leaf, she kills off an older one. She never has more than 3-4 leaves at a time and it’s really bugging me! How will she ever grow up to be a lush lady if she only ever has 3 leaves? 😭😭😭 Does anyone have any experience/advice? @UltraKoreanfir I know you have one, do you have any idea what’s happening here? Am I doing something wrong? All my other aglaonemas are thriving but they’re mature. #GregGang #NewGrowth #RarePlants #babevila

Here is a link to the post with when this one bloomed. It was longer ago than I thought! https://greg.app/post/1c17ip/wild-two-of-my-aglaonema-are-flowering-well-in-the-process-of-making-flowers-at-least-i-am-stunned
@BabeVila Shannon, in my experience with Aglaonema plants which I have a lot off, as soon as I see a bud forming I CUT it off right away. These flowers use up a lot of energy from the plant and slows down the growth of the leaves.
I just received my first pictum tricolor and hope that it will thrive like all of my other Aggie plants. I’ve held off for so long getting one of these because I haven’t had much luck with any type of β€œcamouflage” type plants LOL.
@YammieOf3 Nice! Congratulations πŸ₯³ they are just so beautiful 😍 you do have so many gorgeous Aglaonemas, I remember looking at your oasis! Actually i wonder if you could help me identify a cultivar! My friend has it, I think it’s the most gorgeous thing ever but she has no idea what kind it is and I want one but there are so many kinds, it’s impossible if you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for. The leaves look like they’re glowing! I just love it. If not, no biggie but I thought it can’t hurt to ask lol β™₯️ Congrats again on your new tricolor!
@BabeVila do you know where she got it from?
Usually a sign the plant needs more fertilizer.
@BabeVila I’m thinking it could be a Crystal Bay.
@danisgreenhouse do you have any you recommend? I normally use We the Wild Grow formula for all my plants every time I water but maybe she needs an extra boost. I’ve always been afraid of messing up with chemical ones!
@YammieOf3 Sorry, no but she usually gets them from local nurseries or Lowe’s. Not sure about this one, she’s had it for years. I’ll look up Crystal Bay thanks πŸ’š
@BabeVila I use WTW but that’s only liquid worm castings so it’s not a complete fertilizer. I’d recommend in addition something like Dyna Gro Foliage Pro or I personally use GT Foliage Focus.
@BabeVila well im OBSESSED!! Three leaf lady or not shes GORGEOUS 🀩πŸ₯Ή you are amazing Shannon!! WowieπŸ₯³πŸ€©
@danisgreenhouse awesome thank you very much!
@BabeVila I agree with @danisgreenhouse on how to help with this plant!! πŸ™ŒπŸ»
