Ok so I posted about my #PinkSyngonium a month and a half or so ago asking for advice moving it from water to soil. Iβve had it in #leca for maybe a month to month and a half. Still not thriving. I took her out of leca water and am moving her to soil. Cleaned the roots best I could. I think they smell ok but my sense of smell is not the best. Moving her to soil. Sorry if Im dominating the feed today but itβs house and plant chore day.

She looks like she has root rot. If you squeeze the roots are they mushy? I know your sense of smell is not the best so you will have to check by feel. Also, brown or black roots generally mean root rot , as does yellowing or browning of leaves which yours shows both. It will not recover if you do not treat the rot.
To do that cut off ALL of the brown roots, you wonβt be left with many since most of those look quite brown. Root rot is caused by bacteria so after removing the rotten roots you then have to treat what is left. I would dunk the bottom into 3 parts water/ 1 part peroxide to kill any bacteria that is left. DO NOT put the plant back into the same container until you thoroughly santize that as well. Use a peroxide wash of
Water and peroxide again and then you can scrub it out with soap and water. Also, use fresh soil.
If there are no roots left then stick the base in water to allow it to grow more roots.

@SuperbRaspfern Awesome thank you so much thatβs what I thought when I saw it but the mushy roots I got off the ones left werenβt βas badβ but I couldnβt smell anything so thank you for your help! I will remove and treat if anything is left. Then if thereβs nothing left Iβll put it in water to grow more roots. Thank you
