The story of my Aloe Vera: Iโve had this aloe for years. Last year when I started watering it frequently (weekly-ish) it started going down hill. Gradually I have been getting the watering schedule down to 1xs per month or so, and my aloe is looking better. I still need to repot it into a terra cotta pot. First picture is last February and last picture is most recent. #AloeVera overwatering">#overwatering #revivetheplant #HappyPlants #beginnerplantparent #NewGrowth #BeforeAndAfter #theamigos
@nellz4estfairyz At least you caught it in time! I had a pot with 4 Mammillaria Elongata in it. I got down to 2 before I figured out how to water the dang thing! Aloe holds a lot of water so they can totally dry out before watering it. It just felt wrong to let mine go that long!
@princesspitstop I havnโt hardly owned or befriended any cactus in over 20 years lol. I had a fairy castle when I was a teenager and it died, and Iโm still upset about it! (I do have a dragon fruit now. But I think maybe they take more water than the average cactus?)
@Jessa-Dawn I still canโt quite except that aloe like to be ignored. But honestly some of my family who are not great with plants have amazing aloe, busting right out of the their pots with babies. Probably because someone just set it down near a window and forgot all about it! ๐คฃ
@nellz4estfairyz You got me! I know absolutely nothing about dragon fruit. I have seen fairy castle cactus before and they are very cool looking. I can imagine how you would be upset about losing it. ๐ Maybe you can get another and try again!
@princesspitstop oh gosh.. Iโm to scared. ๐ณ
No plant thrives on being ignored. They just have different watering needs. But still, when they get thirsty, they certainly prefer water to being left ignored and dry.
Just like people, when you need water you need to drink. @neliz4estfairyz
