It's been a while since we've done a #thenandnow post, a #beforeandafter. This is Patsy, a Tree Aeonium..pink stripe, when I got her versus today. She has branched out and filled out. All she needs is to get "stressed out" by the sun.
I would love to see some of my fellow Greggers favorite before & now photos. #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy

I’m sure I have lots, but I’m terrible at organizing the photos on my phone so won’t be able to find most of them, so here is a recent one! I grew this Calendula from seed last summer, but it always stayed small. I’m not sure what I was doing wrong, but eventually I brought it in for winter because I couldn’t stand for it to freeze and die. It grew a teeny bit from December-February, but then out of nowhere, in the last 3-4 weeks, it’s exploded with growth! I’ve had to size up pots twice! The roots are insane! It’s a simple little plant and extremely common but I love it just because it’s growing like this for me! It makes me glad I didn’t give up on the little thing β™₯️ 1st two pics are screenshots from Greg gallery with date stamps… the third pic was taken late last week! 🌱πŸͺ΄πŸŒ³πŸ€£
Some before and after of these two babies I’ve been raising from the very start of their lives!! Two pachyveria royal flush babies πŸ₯Ή they came from my very first plant everβ€” the plant died days after I got it lol but I managed to salavge some leaves and these were the only two survivors, so they’re also my very first succussful propagations and my only 2nd generation of succulent (I became a plant mother and grandmother in a short amount of time πŸ˜‚). It’s taken them a VERY long time to get to this stage, very small babies but seem to be doing well. They’re appropriately called Patch and Patches, and the original mother plant was called Patchy hehe
@BabeVila Sometimes I think they just barely stay alive because they're struggling to take root. But then when they do, they explode with growth! Ya gotta love that! πŸ’•.
@itsjordan I love your story of becoming a plant mother & grandmother in a short span of time. They look great! And maybe they'll be stronger as second generation plants πŸ€”
I hope so! πŸ‘
How about this one? Adopted July of last year, vs. today. FIVE side branches! @BabeVila @itsjordan
@UltraKoreanfir the little babies are too cute πŸ₯Ή those leaves look so long and healthy, very awesome
@itsjordan Thanks! And I forgot ..this is AFTER I cut off two branches and potted them separately because it was really top heavy and kept falling over. 😁
@UltraKoreanfir I see, it’s an overachiever huh
@UltraKoreanfir I’ve got another one, my zebra when I first got her vs today πŸ™‚
@itsjordan overachiever 🀣🀣🀣🀣

Whoa! That Zebra is a GREAT comparison! It's so juicy & chonky! 🀩. A real beauty!
Ooh! Here's another that makes me super happy! This was two 3" cuttings, water propped until I could make more cuttings to prop. Eventually they were potted, and it has gotten super full. I don't have a picture of the cuttings, but I have the one I took when they first went into dirt, versus now.
