A couple of weeks ago, I was surprised to see my sweetheart Hoya had bloomed! I had never seen anything about these guys getting flowers. However, they did eventually fall off and left a brown liquid all over a paper towel I had nearby. Just wanted to share with everyone who may be interested! The brown liquid is a sap that the Hoya Kerri excretes. That sap and flower heads of this variety is slightly poisonous so just be cautious with the sap. It's most poisonous to birds. I know the sap is kinda gross but it's normal for them to do that. It stains too so careful not to get it on anything. 🩷
