I re-potted these and now we have more πŸ₯°

Say more..! So you’ve propagated how many? How far off the top did you go?
@PlantJedi I replied but it didn't post. I apologize. The pic on the left there are 3, the right I believe are 4.

I don't measure I just cut and stick them in the soil

So far that's worked for me

I can say if they get tall and they're not full or look too skinny that's when I've cut them. Had the momma for about 20 years, the others are the offspring πŸ₯°
@LaBori276 the pictures didn’t post.
@LaBori276 😍😍😍 it’s soo green!!!
@PlantJedi

I don't know why it's not posting

Just tried several times before it finally took πŸ€ͺ
@PlantJedi thank you
@LaBori276 she’s nioce! I love that dark green color. Part of the reason I love rubber plants soo much.
Haha Maisie I have the posting/ not posting comments issue ALL the time on this app (started copying all my long replies just in case! Lmao 🀦🀣).

I rescued a marginata recently that I'm trying to nurse back to health .. but I nearly chopped her! Lol glad I didn't at the time because she'd lost a LOT of leaves and I don't think she'd have made it tbh.

How long dies it takes for the original stalk to start growing again in your experience? (I rescued 2 y'see... Chopped the REALLY battered one but the top section wasn't viable, and left the other whole, which is starting to really grow now!).

I'm wondering how long to give the chopped stalk, to see if it'll bounce back? It still feels very firm and healthy but we've had a late spring in Scotland, so it's only just coming into growing season now! πŸ˜‰). Do you wax tip the top of the rooted section or anything to seal it? Or just let it be?

Sorry so many questions!! Lol 🫣🀣 xx
@JenniB81 so I am really bad at keeping track of anything

All I can say is when they get long and "straggly" that's when I chop them off and just stick that part back in the soil

I have no idea how long it takes to "root"

πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I do the same when cooking. I don't measure anything!!! Ppl ask me and I'm like "I stop when the ancestors tell me too" πŸ€£πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
@JenniB81 @PlantJedi I will say this

Let's say the "stalk" "stem" is very long and skinny and it has 2 green tops branching off, I just cut the green and stick that part in the soil

Hope that makes sense
@LaBori276 which Draceana is it because mine is a lemon-lime and green colored version. I’ve never seen a cornstalk look soo majestic dark green. Your plants are like an emerald green and I’m loving it.
@LaBori276 haha I know what you mean!! πŸ˜‚ I'm exactly the same when it comes to cooking for sure!! Haha 🀣🀣 and my planty life is similar... I'm gonna patent the "Fuck About and Find Out" (FAAFO) technique! Haha πŸ€”πŸ€£πŸ€£ so dont worry!! I gather all the info I can then... Kinda do my own thing 😁 xxx

In fact... Before anyone else grabs it... #FAAFOtechnique
@JenniB81 BAAAHHHHAAA 🀣
@PlantJedi yours have a wide stem

Mine never did πŸ˜”

But it's made it πŸ€ͺ
Ooh Miguel!! 😍 I have a baby lemon lime at the moment (it's just leaves, no stem yet!) but yours is LOVELY πŸ₯° #plantgoals! Xxx
@LaBori276 oh that’s a Draceana Fragrans or Janet Craig. That makes more sense. I had hope mine would get that green. As much as I love the lime… I love your emerald green.
@JenniB81 oh you have the actual lemon lime! Those are soo pretty but my fiancΓ© vetoed it πŸ˜‚β€¦ She said it’s too spiky for her. Hahahahaha
Aww @plantjedi! That's just unfair!! Lmao 🀣🀣 yeah she's SOOOO pretty! I can wait til she gets all tall and pretty! πŸ₯° Btw I've just been discussing our (UK's) new star wars 50p coins and it made me think of you! Haha 🀣

May the Fourth be with you my friend πŸ₯° xx
@JenniB81 πŸ₯° thanks! Yes I’m such a Star Wars fan/nerd πŸ˜‚ Appreciate you!
