Any tips for making my geranium bushier?
When I first got it, I wasnβt giving it enough water or sunlight, which I think contributed to the long woody stem itβs got.
Now, itβs in a south-facing window with lots of light and I water it about once a week, but the long woody stem is a bit unsightly to me.
Anything I could do to encourage new growth toward the bottom?

I have the same problem. My outside Geraniums were a little neglected during the wintertime. π But, there is good news, Geraniums are fast growers. It will get bushier in no time. πThis is what to do for a bushier plant.
βοΈUse your finger tips to pinch off approx. 1/4 -1/2 inch of the growing tips of each shoot. Prune just above the next leaf, or just above the next stem or pinch just above the flower bud. https://www.weekand.com/home-garden/article/geranium-grow-thicker-18049855.php
π§Use the finger soil test to determine when to water your plant. The skin on your finger is an extremely sensitive moisture meter and itβs free. πOnly water your plant when the soil feels completely dry on your index finger, inserted into the soil. This method allows your plant to tell you its thirsty. π
β’ Continue to slowly water your plant until water starts dripping out of the drainage hole, this allows the entire root ball to get dehydrated.
β’ Never let your plant sit in the stagnant water that came out of the drainage hole, because the plant will become overwatered and its roots will die.
β’ And finally, avoid getting water on their leaves, because that could cause a fungal disease.
π I hope your Geranium will live long, get thicker and prosper with may blooms.
