New Echeveria/ Black Tips?

Hi guys! I just got a new echeveria (strawberry almond) and her tips are black. I was wondering what causes this. Could it be from traveling or the cold? Is this something that might go away as she adjusts to a new environment? Want to make sure she isn’t carrying anything so I can get her in her rightful spot haha #Echeveria #strawberryalmond #echeveriahelp #SucculentSquad #succulenthelp #planthealth
Cute color
@StockyPepino1 she is! A little frosty from travel but I’m excited to see how her color changes over time
Where did you get that? 😍😍😍

The tips look like normal damage from travel. Give her time and she should bounce back.
From looking up the plant, it seems like a common characteristic β€” really gorgeous coloring on that plant!!!

I would keep an eye on it, make sure it doesn’t spread or look like it’s getting worse. If it does get worse, then it could be a fungal infection and would need to be treated with fungicide or it could also be a combination of the traveling, cold, and even overwatering if it was watered in the cold yknow… but definitely keep a close eye on it!

Here’s what I was looking at online of some other examples of the plant for reference:
I think it could be from packaging. Did you get it delivered ? I know when I’ve seen those it’s usually from the plastic tightly bound around the crate or temporary planter. Definitely could be wrong. Just trying to help. Good luck . It’s beautiful 🀩
@Charli3Plant sold by fwpp life on Amazon! But moving forward I think I want to stick to Etsy for ones I can’t find near me. There’s so many cute shops on there.
Thank you!
@GrownKaramu3 thank you! Yeah she was delivered wrapped with a sort of plastic and no pot. πŸ₯² Just hoping she’s healthy and her roots grow. They looked to be chopped before shipment
@itsjordan I think you’re right! I should have looked at more pictures in detail to notice that a lot of this type have that. It’s super interesting. My other ones I would find it pretty concerning haha. Hopefully it’s nothing and is either just a characteristic of this plant or was due to travel and cold! Thanks!!
No problem. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. It does take a while but mine are finally looking better. Best of luck to you πŸ‘πŸ˜Š
So I know it was a while ago but just wanted to show you a pic of some of mine that came looking like yours with the spots and show you that it took some but they are finally pretty much healed. So don’t worry if they’re still there. Though It took about 3 months , yours should heal too, at least I hope so. 🀞
