Sun is good, but afternoon might be too intense for young plants.
Which elephant ear is it? Colocasia, Caladium, Xanthosoma or Alocasia? Colocasia and Caladium prefer moist-to-wet conditions, Alocasia and Xanthosoma should dry out abit more.
Additionally, for Alocasia, Colocasia and Xanthosoma it's called a corm, while in Caladium it's a tuber.
