Helloooo planty people 🫶🏼🌿 It’s Thursday, and today I have cooked vegetables like I’m a real life grown person. I have also spent the morning dancing to the Eiffel 65 radio on Spotify, LOL, AND I did laundry!! Where is my medal and certificate?? 🏆🥇😂

We were talking and felt like #TheWateringHole better represents who we are now…a casual and fun group that likes to hang out and chat about plants, no shaming or gatekeeping, experts and beginners all intertwined and supporting each other. In light of the #greggivesbackgiveaway (pst, if you have never won before, go submit an entry!! Winner will be picked on the 16th!!) I was looking around at my next oldest plants! 🪴 I rarely show my succulents, but here’s a peek at 1️⃣“Ursula” my mama aloe plant who is just as old as my 16 year old golden pothos “Phyllis.” (Who was named when I thought she was a philodendron 😂)
2️⃣ & 3️⃣ then next is “Aristotle” my 7 year old lace aloe, and a small selection of his pups. I repotted him when his 33 pups were threatening to evict him from his pot!
4️⃣ evidence of my adulthood…look at all those cooked vegetables 🥗 lol. And one of my favorite cookbooks “The Everlasting Meal,” by Tamar Adler, I like it because it’s like a philosophy and stories with recipes thrown in too, so it’s actually a cookbook you can sit down and read. (No houseplants were tortured by being taken to the kitchen and watered in front of all this planty carnage)

Good afternoon #TheWateringHole friends!! I’m on board with it🙌👍. And I think Heidi @princesspitstop has an updated list. @DreamMachine look 👀 at all your grown up veggies! 🥦🥕🥬🍆. The cookbook looks interesting too. Economy and grace. Nice combo!! Haven’t posted on #GregGivesBackGiveaway yet. I’ve got a euphorbia that’s got ancient ties and has cuttings from one coast to the other 🙌. Need to take pics. Love that you kept the name Phyllis even after learning she’s a pothos 🤣. It’s supposed to rain 🌧️ 😲 the next few days!!! Such an unusual occurrence here. We will all have our noses pressed to the window staring out at something new and different than what we get 360 days of the year! 🤪🤣😆😹😝 We actually look forward to a few days where we have an excuse to not be outside.

@CutePolypremum love the horsey story 🐎🥰. I don’t know if you know I have a horse 🐴. Rode him today and actually have a blanket for him. He won’t need it tonight as the temps are still too mild 🤣 🤪. My horse lives the good life as most horses do! Gets his house cleaned 2x a day. Food brought to him without even having to ask or prepare. Constant supply of cool fresh water. Someone to groom him, like a spa day almost every day 🤪. Lots of treats even when he hasn’t done anything super special 🥕 🍎 😜 Has a podiatrist (farrier) chiropractor and doctor on call 24/7 (vet). 🙂↕️ 😮💨 🙌 he’s got it good. And I’m happy to keep him happy 😊
@princesspitstop @DreamMachine isn’t it the 3rd birthday this month for #GregGivesBackGiveaway ? Greg’s been around longer than 3 years. My daughter joined 2021 and I joined January 2022.

I've been following you for quite a while and know that you're a horse 🐎 lover. You are so lucky!!!!
I think that you travel sometimes to horse shows and exhibitions and that your daughter also competes? (If my memory serves me well).
You're such a good mom...it's easy to spot because of the love you give him...the snacks, rides, grooming, and, he has a chiropractor and a great vet. That's awesome!
I spent my whole 4 years of high school in Germany and practically lived at the stables. They had Arabians, which were so beautiful. It was one of my special times of life experiences.

@DreamMachine 1. You’ve been holding out on us with those aloes!! Your lace aloes are gorgeous! What variety is the 1st one? It’s like an octopus with arms going everywhere! 2. No need to rush the laundry folding. The longer you wait, the less there is to fold because everyone has to go to the laundry room every morning to get something.

@DreamMachine my daughter’s still on Greg but no longer active. She preferred keeping a plant journal 📓 so stopped using Greg for reminders. It was fun when she was on!
Since it’s getting cold I don’t have any plant news right now other then I lost my pothos to the cold 😞 I did get my succulents inside , since I haven’t been outside as much this week, I’ve been foraging and doing plant crafts with all the things I find. Here are some things I’ve done today and this week!
@RefinedSandwort LOL!! 😂 Thank you! I always thought my big aloe was a regular ol’ aloe vera but I suppose I don’t know for certain. She also was getting pushed out of her pot by her babies a year or two ago, but after after a repot and surgical removal of those babies, lol, I put her in a good spot and she has slowly been straightening back up again. She’s totally like an octopus!

@TidyTigerpear I love foraging for plant crafts too!! My daughter’s school has the best fluffy lichens that I love using and so many nutshells. I also love making Fairy dolls out of dollar store faux plant material!
