This is what happens when you keep a #HensAndChicks in too small a pot, on too dark a shelf for too long. Is it wrong that I actually LOVE it!?!?!? π I know it needs to be repotted but I really want to keep its bizzaro shape. π #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #Sempervivum #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #WhatTheSuccWednesday #StrangePlants

@LaSiguanaba That is the coolest and strangest #HensAndChicks Iβve ever seen! πππ
@ForestDweller Right? Thatβs why Iβve left it alone. π
@JazzyGardeNerd Itβs the strangest succulent Iβve ever seen and I love it! π
@Stall54Jo Itβs so cool! I want to repot it but in a way that will maintain this growth patternβ¦ π€
@LaSiguanaba
I really love it π lots soo cute!
I really love it π lots soo cute!
@LaSiguanaba I wonder if you could train it to a certain shape....continue the etiolation, but secure it to a wire loop or something? π
It is neat. As someone else posted earlier, it's not strange or wrong, it's one of a kind! π€

@Artonina It is!
@CourtlyKingfern I actually like it too Evelyn! βΊοΈ Itβs just so strange and interesting, but I guess that describes nature pretty well. Itβs definitely one of a kind. π
@UltraKoreanfir I think if I keep it in a tall, narrow pot, it will continue to grow this way. Iβm just concerned there is no longer enough substrate for the roots. Otherwise, Iβd just leave it in this pot. π I think itβs very cool too!
@JesssJungle Me too Jess!
@BrightBlueberry Iβm just concerned there isnβt enough soil for the roots, but I want to keep the shape too. π
@Seleni Thanks! Iβm here for it! π
@LaSiguanaba I want to try to make mine do that! ππ
@JazzyGardeNerd My secret? Benign neglect! π Good luck!
@AspenGardens Me too⦠I think the shape will stay, especially in a similar pot.
@Imissmydeaddog Thanks!
@gAnderson I think youβre right π
@GrayGranny I love it. π
@FunKeylimetree Thanks Marie!
@PoetCashew Thanks! Yeah, my concern it that there is just not enough soil left for the plant and it really needs a refresher. On the other hand, I love how itβs growing and donβt want to disrupt thatβ¦
@SweetAzurebluet Thanks! I love the way she just took on this unique shape without me really doing anything. Nature always finds a way! π
@HolyYankeeweed Thanks, I love the shape too βnormally they donβt grow this way. The plant is a sempervivum, more commonly known as hens and chicks. π€
@Catplantaddict Glad it survived! I need to repot this one because there is very little dirt left, but I donβt want to lose the shape itβs taken. Iβll have to find another tall, skinny pot! π
