Phew. It has already been SUCH a week and we are only at the peak 🀦🏽

That said, my new #sweethearthoya from @KikiGoldblatt has been bringing me a lot of joy! She and I traded last week and I sent her one of my first plants, a #hoyapubicalyxsplash and she sent me this and a #babyrubberplant.

I was really nervous I bit off more than I could chew with this one because of the vine. I wasn't sure where it would live, but I loved it so much I knew I'd figure it out. After a lot of research I decided to give it a trellis and I am SO glad I did! I love the way it came out and I cannot wait to watch the leaves fill in!

That looks Great πŸ’š
Whoa!! Very nice
Your trellis is so cool. I may have to "steal" this idea πŸ’‘πŸ˜Š
Thanks @LatiTish84 and @jcPlantProper!
@Sassylimey I couldn't find the supplies I thought I had so it's bamboo and BBQ skewers BUT I'm looking to other options for my next couple. I know a few people that make circular ones so that growth points can go back into the soil making a healthier plant that's easier to prop. I kind of did that here because the plant is mature I knew I couldn't just do a circle.
@PlantMompy I'm thinking about getting some copper wire and creating different shaped trellises for my Hoyas.
@Sassylimey I was told 10 or 12 gauge is best!
Thank you Ashley, I was trying to figure out the gauge I needed. @PlantMompy
Now to get some copper wire and get creative lol πŸ˜†
I had someone tell me they just wrap it around the top of a 6"+ pot to make a circle, then twist the ends together until the part to stick in the soil is long enough. Doesn't help with other shapes, but could be a basic form you bend into other shapes!
Aww, it’s so cute! Another Hoya to add to my wishlist!… πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€— I’ve been looking for trellises too. I like the organic feel of yours. πŸ™‚
Thank you, @BeesZenGarden!
Looks gorgeous!
Thanks, @nila!
That’s such a smart homemade trellis, nice handiwork!
That’s it I need one of these 🀣
