Unexpectedly adopted a new plant named Ellie

I made the mistake of going to home depot thinking I could just window shop and get some ideas for spring πŸ˜… Who told me to do that!?!? The #Philos were calling my nameeeeee and a very lonely peach tree, and a bunch of other stuff too!!! Ugh there were so many varieties omg I just told them I'd be back in a few weeks to take some home.
I did leave with a new plant that I never intended on getting but she looked so lonely and just begged me to bring her home. Never had this type of plant before, but it reminds me of elephant ears so I named her Ellie (also my grandmother's nickname 😊).
Any tips or knowledge is appreciated! Welcome Ellie to the gang 😊 #plantsmakepeoplehappy #happyplants #newplants
Ellie looks like a caladium which is the same family as elephant ears, so you have a great eye for plants! I love her color; so unique and pretty 😍

Where I live in VA they die back in winter and sprout again in the spring, but since you're in FL she may not drop her leaves at all. They have bulbs under the soil.

Maybe @JCPlantProper can tell you how these ladies behave in your local climate.
@tmbryant37 I was just reading how they're usually grown here in Florida in a small town, that even has a festival in their honor! I'll be going next year 😌 lol Her color is what stood out to me the most! I didn't notice until I got her home and in a new pot, that she came with babies πŸ₯°
The little baby is so cute ☺️
She is so pretty I love her color! Congrats on Ellie, she’s a great addition 😍
