Beware of UV light overexposure!

#GregPSA Over-exposure to UV Lights!

❗️I have to give this warning once in awhile to my plant friends because we #crazyplantparents forget to keep this in mind:

•Over-exposure to UV light is widely known to cause skin cancer, premature aging, immune system suppression, and eye damage (Washington.edu)

This is not to scare anyone, I promise that is not my intention. I know many of us have grow lights for our indoor plants and wanted to take the time to let you all know to be careful about where your #GrowLights are and how they’re placed! Make sure they’re not directly hitting your vision/eye level and make sure to keep timers in mind! This is a good idea not only for your plants (they ocasionally need light breaks) but also for you! 😊🤍

Good advice. I don’t have any but it’s nice to know. 👍
Wow, good to know! Thank you!
Thank you for this. I’ve often wondered about these things.
I hadn't thought about this! 😱 Thank you! I was about to look into getting my first growlight, now I may reconsider 😊
@SunnyLorinseria you can totally get your first grow light! Just make sure it’s a place where you’re not constantly sitting at eye level or exposed for more than 6+ hours of exposure everyday! 🌿🤍
Thanks! Ill add one to the list when autumn/winter hits. For now most of my plants are doing good ☀️
