My princess getting the princess treatment this morning In her spa 🤗🛁🫧 I cannot believe how long, bushy & healthy she is! My boyfriend got this for me about two or three years ago on my first birthday we shared together. It’s a very special plant to me! She was so small when I first got her compared to now. I have struggled with strings & have had lots of ups & downs with them when it comes to caring for them & keeping them alive, but this baby has always been forgiving with me & has given me grace. 🫶🏻 & for that I thank her & treat her extra special & extra care to be fragile with her & her delicate long tendrils.. 🥹
I only bottom water her, and I keep her outside until winter in my screened in porch. I have her in a shallow teracotta pot for good drainage. I love her one all white tendril she has, it’s so cool to me. I always wonder what causes that in Varigated plants. 🌱

@TidyTigerpear she is amazing!! 🤩 Thats so much growth for a few years 😲 Great job!! I haven’t gone back to any strings of things after un-aliving every one I tried years ago. But this is making me want to try again 😍
@DreamMachine yes I feel for you, I love all strings but I have eventually lost them all, I had a string of bananas & dolphins that actually had done really well and lived for a while but then when I brought it inside for winter and had seasonal depression and neglected my plants for months and didn’t water them I lost them! My regular string of hearts I think I lost to rot (this were my early plant days so I didn’t know how sensitive they were and that they needed specific care) and my string of turtles I lost to sunburn because again I was new to them and plants in general and didn’t know they couldn’t be in direct sun outdoors 🤣 I know much better now. But still struggle with them. I recently got a ruby necklace and it’s doing good so far
@TidyTigerpear Same!! Yes on all those accounts!! I didn’t know a lot about them, and I didn’t realize that my climate would affect my care so much, so I was waterings what was “generally” required of them,not realizing I was overwatering them in my wet humid climate.

Love it @TidyTigerpear!! Variegated string of hearts is number one on my wishlist. I've been obsessed with string of things lately, especially variegated string of hearts. So jelly! 😍
