Alright, I’m trying to make some tough decisions. I have a few wishlist plants that I wanted to order, but I can only buy one or get multiple. What are your thoughts? I know it’s a personal choice, but I’ll post pictures and descriptions of the plants, and I’d love to hear your opinions on which ones you think would be worth it. Or, if you have a favorite, I’d love to know what it is. I’m going to break it down based on my budget. I’ll separate the total budget from the budget allocated for each plant. Haha, I hope I make sense. Morning! Wow! You know I’m in my alocasia era, but tbh, that Zara is the first time I’ve ever seen an anthurium and thought, “I get it.” 🤯 That is amazing coloration. You know that Fire Phoenix would catch my eye, but from a quick google, i had seen pretty different “mature” versions. I would want to know what the grown up is gonna look like, or else wait a year or two for it to become more widely available to gamble on it. All choices are beautiful but those are the ones that caught my eye and my 2 cents. 🙂 You really can’t go wrong with these options!

She’s just too beautiful but also too much to justify… YET. 🤭 But I’m going to get the Xanthosoma Lindenii Variegated. She’s just too pretty to me. I’m a real sucker for the aureas and the colorful pretty much anything. 🤦♀️🫶🏻🤣

@Idplantthat Thank you for showing all these. Personally I want one of each! I decide based on what appeals to me most, tempered by, what I have heard about their care from Greggers. So go with what jumps out at you the most.
Just to mention, I have not ordered plants by mail, except for the tulip poplar tree we planted a few years ago. I prefer to see the plants in front of me before I decide. That means what I happen to see at a big box store, but especially, there is finally a store selling only plants in Tipp City, a town near me, where I go every couple months. I am praying they stay open. When I see plants in person sometimes one beckons to me……I am sure all Greggers know what I mean. It or they seem special that day and come home with me. My husband understands and has built a total of five shelves for my plants.

I have an extremely rare autoimmune ailment called Behcets Disease.
It took 8 years and going through numerous specialist and treatments that didn't work until I was finally blessed with a Rheumatologist in Albany, NY who figured out that what I'm suffering from is Behcets.
He also fought hard with my insurance company to finally approve the only FDA medication available. It costs $6,300 a month!
I'm so grateful and blessed.
The symptoms are much less than before but there are occasional severe flare-ups.
Before I was properly diagnosed, I couldn't eat any solid food or even brush my teeth, or go to the dentist because of the open, continous lesions in my cheeks, tongue, and even lips...it was so painful.
Extreme fatigue, depression, and strong neurological symptoms, such as body and joint aches and pain, are also part of Behcets.
So...when I get a big flare-up up of any one of these symptoms, I'm basically dead to the world. But...do manage somehow to take care of The Tribe!
I really think that our 🪴 🌿 🪴 plants understand and are forgiving!
I'm lucky to have pen pals around the world who suffer from this disease.
I hope she doesn't mind my mentioning that a gal in our own Greg community...Shannon... @SuperRaspFern also has Behcets.
Many of us have been asking about dear Shannon. She's still in the middle of a major move and will join us as soon as she's able.

@CutePolypremum I’ve been wondering where Shannon was for a while. I am so sorry you suffer from Behcet’s, that’s a terrible disease to have. I’m so happy though you were able to get your medications. I’m sure winter doesn’t help your flare-ups. It’s good to see you back!

I hope the medication takes away all or most of your suffering and symptoms. You have a very wonderful doctor to go those extra miles fighting with insurance.
