Mystery Succulent ID: Revealed!
I got a mystery succulent a little over a year ago, and I've been waffling between it being a Graptoveria 'A Grim One' or an Echeveria 'Moonglow'. I had been leaning towards the Graptoveria, but both varieties look so similar it's hard to tell. Well, the dang thing finally bloomed, and I'm about 95% +- 2 (p < 0.05) sure that my plant is indeed a Graptoveria 'A Grim One'. Gotta say, the name does not fit. When I hear a succulent called ' A Grim One', I think of a dark colored succulent, not this pastel beauty. I don't know where they come up with these names. Glad you were able to finally ID @Charli3Plant. Drives me bonkers when I can't figure out mine. Love them all!!

@FairyFly It's named after the person who created the hybrid. Some of the newer names for cultivars make me go huh 🤨
@Charli3Plant I have 100% made the exact same ID mix up with those two species they are SO similar… and don’t even get me started on the patchphytum oviferum vs Graptopetalum amethystum mystery! I’m still waiting for multiple succs to bloom to figure that one out 😬
P.S. Graptoveria ‘A Grimm One’ are so easy to propagate !I have entirely too many of them…
