I got home from my trip yesterday and was met with some lovely surprises. 🥰 My Greg mug arrived safely! 🫶🏼☕️ And this morning I had my first cup of coffee in it. It’s such a lovely piece and I thank Greg staff for being so kind to give these out, they really make the community feel a lot closer and involved. 😄 Everyone here is sooo kind and I am truly thankful to have found you all! 🤗

I was also met with a super surprise, my Monstera Albo cutting put out its first leaf since I got it a month and a half ago and it looks like it’s already throwing fenestrated leaves 🥳🪴 this was very exciting for me. Can’t wait till it opens fully 🥰
And another super surprise was the cutting I got from @PlantCutie305 has put out it’s first roots and new growth! (That I can see from in perlite because it hit the sides 😅) I think @Nataliesplants and @PlantMompy were trying different prop methods so, here’s my update 🤣 to be fair it did make it to my house in one night so it’s recovery probably didn’t need as long as several days. 🤔🥲
Anyways, it’s good to be back, I didn’t get to post till today because I spent most my time yesterday tending to/checking up on my plants from being gone a week! No casualties! Yay! 🥳😄

About vacations….We went away for 2 weeks in October. I put all the plants I asked my pet sitter to water, on my plant shelf and she did. I asked her to do it at one week. The rest I figured could go for 2 weeks. I was right, except my Konjac surprised me. It was beautiful and healthy when I left and totally white when I got back and starting to tip over. I checked with my cousin who sent me the corm and she said hers, which grow outside, keel over and go dormant for the winter, then start up from the corm again in the spring. Only hers don’t go white before they die back. I cut it off, watered once and put it in the pantry in a cool place until spring. I hope the 2 weeks of not watering didn’t kill it and it is indeed dormant. Here it is, before and after vacation. 😭😳😢

She has a bunch of vessels but I personally chose 6 moss balls “mossballs only” option (it’s an option on every listing I believe), and they still put them in this simple cute glass container which I appreciated. 🫶🏼

And side note update, the plants you passed onto me are doing well! They’ve been acclimating to a new environment. The melo with two leaves lost one 🥲 but the one it still has is alive and strong and it’s started pushing out new growth. 🫶🏼 the Syngonium also didn’t like the change too much at first 🥲 but it’s put out 2 new leaves that are beginning to unfurl! The philo is also pushing out new growth with two new leaves 😄 I’m just waiting till they grow a bit more to make a post of their progress, but rest assured they’re all still alive 🤣☺️

I haven't put it in anything other than water yet 😂 but here it is! Old roots are good and new roots are coming in! This was a week or so ago, the new roots are more than 2x the length now.
