Homalomena sp. 'Silver Red'. I have NEVER seen a plant grow SO SO SO well. New leaf AND three blooms. Like wow
Nepenthes 'Viking' x veitchii 'Bario' seedling. The pitchers are starting to get fatter!
I dunno what my Alocasia 'Platinum' is doing? Looks like a bloom???? It's the top cutting that rooted, and the structure is kinda stunted. I'm not too sure how to remove it cos i want this guy to mature first

I have lots to water up today, and really wish about now I had already ordered that water pump Sonny talked about this past weeks or so. Could definitely use it today. 🫣
More cleaning chores my maid did not do this week. Toilets, wash clothes and such.. 😝
It will be two weeks this coming Monday that I got this begonia cutting and I am excited that it is showing lots of root growth! So potting it up. I made the mistake of putting it in my west window so the leaves are burnt but,, hey I got roots!

Most were in my tent but a few of the smaller 4” ones were around the house. @CourtlyKingfern yeah theyre big windows really too. Once the tree outside totally drops its leaves ill need a sheer or 30% sunscreen minimum
@SunSoilLove oh yes and it’s double fun because we have some siblings coming, we’ve all been friends for a long time and I teach them all too. The girls are only 9-10 so it’s their first sleepover. We’re excited! Nacho bar, movies, tons of cute coloring books and nail stickers, new pajamas… it’ll be so fun!

@ILoveMyPlants theyre a tough start i think. I have a pink aurea micans and is been a *****😂 doesnt have any pink now cause it was crammed in my room to long. But normally it has a pink shimmer and some pink splotching

@TheConservator that makes sense the moss I bought came in a ‘sheet’ that was likely grown that way. Rehydrated for 10 mins and it’s perfect.

@TheConservator sorry I ended up with company for a while. And repotting a few plants that I was not aware needed it! 😩

@CourtlyKingfern 2 gal is fine and yup put as much or little as you want. Just thought it might be a bit big for some of you to drag around. But i dont mind myself
@CourtlyKingfern im usually like that , less over more. But when i started bottom watering cause of distilled water that changed drastically and im convinced thats where most my summers growing issues started. Now that im back to top watering things seam to be turning around 🙌
@TheConservator I am pretty sure I have left some of my plants in the water too long. Doing the bottom water deal. So I try now to really put timers on the soak deal. I also think it depends on the soil type as well. As you would know. 🤯

@TheConservator I kind of like the “arms” it reminds me of the inflatable” balloon they have on commercials that waves it’s arms and moves all over the place. 🤣🤣
@CourtlyKingfern btw when you drill that big bowl. Youll be able to drill it from the top. So in that case you can just put 1/2 inch water in the bowl instead of a sponge. Anything that holds water and you can get from the top thats the best way. If you cant then its the bottom and a sponge. Hardest part is starting it! Trick is hold it at a slight angle to start. So only 1 side of the hole saw is hitting the material. Then as it starts to set a groove you bring the drill up to 90 degrees And go. Careful at the end or it might chip out the back side. But its really not a big deal if it does youll never see it
Still had to rewire but i decided im not pulling the shelves apart. I just dropped the middle shelf down and sat it on top the existing shelf lol. Then i lowered the 2 nd shelf lower to the second shelf the distance i wanted from the lights and that left me a bottom shelf for drip trays maybe for accidents

@princesspitstop all look pretty good so far. I am afraid to do much with them. 🙏🏻 they are located at a south facing window and also under a grow light for 12 hrs.

@CourtlyKingfern I only have mine under grow lights. I got in there yesterday to take a look and I'm glad I did because the Sphag was drying out in one of the boxes so I sprayed it down. Most of them are growing roots all up and down the stems not just at the cut end like I was expecting. It's happening so fast I need to go to Lowe's to get a bag of my favorite Orchid Bark mix. I'll probably go tomorrow.

You can open it more often and wipe down the sides to keep it more clear and getting more light. I just use a paper towel and long terrarium tweezers @ILoveMyPlants
I just crack mine when they get dew on the sides also and it will usually dry up pretty fast on its own. Just gotta remember to put the lid back on 😱😂
