My neighbour left some plants for me on the doorstep! What a great surprise 😍 I love her so much! This time she left a bag of oranges from her tree, a dendrobium ( pink rock maybe?) and a huge bunch noid bulb plants. If anyone has any ideas on the bulbs (or orchid) that’d be great! Also care tips are always welcome πŸ€— #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #noid #identify #NewPlants #OrchidLovers #bulbgrower
can i be your neighbors neighbor too
@strawberrymoon Haha πŸ˜† come join us! We’re always sharing plants and food with each other! The more the merrier 🫢
@HoyaAddict id love to!! australia was great when i went there and i’d love to visit again once i have enough money lol. the neighbors here in japan are either really cold and kinda gossipy or nice but don’t get involved with us much further than saying hello when we cross each other on the street πŸ˜” also just curious but are there any common plants that you aren’t allowed to have in Australia πŸ€” bc of the conservation laws and all that
Aww I hope you do one day! I’d love you as a neighbour 😍 I’ve found it really friendly when I moved here!

This is the list of invasive species. I own two of these plants haha πŸ˜† Optunia and Madeira vine so I think Queensland is much stricter than Victoria.

Acacia farnesiana (sweet acacia)
Ailanthus altissima (tree of heaven)
Alternanthera philoxeroides (alligator weed)
Andropogon virginicus (broomsedge)
Annona glabra (alligator apple)
Anredera cordifolia (Madeira vine)
Ardisia elliptica (shoebutton Ardisia)
Arundo donax (giant cane)
Asparagus aethiopicus (asparagus fern)
Berberis thunbergii (Japanese barberry)
Brassica tournefortii (African mustard)
Bromus rubens (foxtail brome)
Chrysanthemoides monilifera (bitou bush)
Cinnamomum camphora (camphor laurel)
Cryptostegia grandiflora (rubber vine)
Echium plantagineum (Paterson's curse)
Hypericum perforatum (St. John's wort)
Lantana camara (lantana)
Leucanthemum vulgare (ox-eye daisy)
Opuntia spp. (prickly pear)
Solanum mauritianum (wild tobacco)
@HoyaAddict i’m surprised the prickly pear is there but not the English ivy! and the fact that one of the plants is literally called a curse lmao
@strawberrymoon St. John’s Wort surprised me too! I understand though, they all root and grow like crazy here. I find it much stricter when it comes to animals imported, so many lizards, frogs and snakes I’ll never own 😣πŸ₯²
@HoyaAddict that’s real sad :( but i understand why bc snakes eat bird eggs etc. and are very good at escaping their enclosures… that being said if i ever get a snake (i always wanted one!! leucistic ball python is my dream snake but i’ll probably start with a corn snake… i really wanna get one of those orange ones and name them candycorn bc that’s what they remind me of lol) i’ll show you pics!! btw sarah has a really cute beardie called lump, maybe you can ask her when you need a dose of cute lizard!
@strawberrymoon Same! Haha I will start with a corn snake cause they’re adorable but my dream snake is a Rainbow/Iridescent boa they’re just unbelievably gorgeous
@strawberrymoon Can’t wait for pics of lump 😍
@HoyaAddict OO iridescent snakes are awesome!! sunbeam snakes are basically the goth version of the guy in the pic lol, love all the rainbow sneks πŸ’• also speaking of boas, i love sand boas bc of their faces :) this is the anery morph but i always forget the name so i call them the cow sneks
@strawberrymoon Omg 😱 soooo adorable! I want I want I want πŸ˜πŸ«ΆπŸ’š
Such a lovely neighbor.
@strawberrymoon @HoyaAddict I miss my snake. 😩 He was the best. He was just a common ball python, but he was four geeky long and he was so docile. Best snake ever!

I'll grab a good picture of Lump when the sun comes up. He's a tough dude and he loves to get out and sit in my plant room (he has good taste).
@HoyaAddict what an awesome neighbor.
Behold: Lump!
@sarahsalith Omg I love him 😍
