Happy #freshleaffriday #greggang from all my #hoya blooms!
In no particular order, since I'm not sure how the photos will play out:
Hoya #retusa cutting I got a while back tried to bloom last year but it didn't quite work out, so here it is opening just one flower at a time (I managed to catch two in the photo). It's just so cute π₯Ή
Hoya #lobbii is my OG. My first hoya from one of my first plant friends a decade ago. She has always bloomed and the only reason she doesn't as much now is because I've given away so many cuttings she has to work to make more peduncles. Her blooms always make me feel like I am a good plant parent. [the orange and maroon]
Another hoya that started as a cutting is my #wayetii and it put out its first peduncles this spring. I love how over the top long they are compared to others. The flowers are just SO PRECIOUS being round and velvety looking π₯Ή
Finally, my #sherperdaii a put out ten peduncles last year, maybe more, I lost count. She has been making the first floor of my house sound like someone lit a floral scented candle in every room. So far I think six of the peduncles have flowers, we will see if they all decide to this year. [White bunches with pink centers].
I guess what I'm saying is if you aren't part of the #hoyahangout yet, here is your sign. πΈπΌπ΅οΈ

@PlantMompy What beautiful blooms ! The first picture is extra cute too .
@ILoveMyPlants right?! I'm so glad they like being pit bound because I never want to up pot it π
@PoisedAlbo your collection is fantastic! I just got the variegated burtoniae because I loved my standard so much, aren't the leaves so fun?! I was just going to say we should trade some props since we are so close, I'm also trying to downsize a little this summer too and I would love to give them to someone local. Shoot me an email at theplantmompy@gmail.com and we can sync up this summer!

@Alinaa right? I actually had no idea what the lobbii was until I found out I should look up the flowers.
Which leads to your second comment. As with all hoyas that look super similar until they flower, 100% I bet my "kentiana" is a "sherperdaii" based on the flowers. I didn't even think to look up their flowers to confirm what they were! Between kentiana and wayetti and the variegated versions I've always wondered a little if I got what the seller (or friend) said or if it's best guess on their part. Looks like the seller was totally wrong, which I'm totally ok with. Lol

@PlantMompy haha, I blame all those home depots and nurseries (prob costs farms) not labeling those 2. The community shall be forever confused and debating if they are different plants and no one can back track where their label or lack of label came from anymore. π€£
@Alinaa I just emailed the seller so they had a heads up. I obviously love long leaf Hoya but was telling myself I didn't need a sherperdii when I also had wayetti and kentiana so decision made for me. Lol. Though to have more of those wayetti/kentiana blooms who knows π
@PlantMompy thereβs so many long leafers! Get a sulawesiana and pulchra and a weird long long clemensiorum.
@MusicalRedmint ππ½ππ½ππ½
@Alinaa sulawesiana is number one on my wishlist right now, I'll look up the other two! I like that I say I love long leaf and I just brought four five that aren't π oops!

#PlantMompy Beautiful Collection and the blooms are gorgeous π«ΆπΌ #Hoya #hoyablooms
@Shepherdess thanks!
@FabRubbercup do it!!!
@SFplantlover they are some of the easiest plants IMO. Which is probably why I've had my lobbii so long!
@ZestDaboecia yes and no. Technically it's a spring thing but I've had them bloom at other times and I'm sure with the right conditions it could be less seasonal.
@Arid_oasis thanks!
@buzzie thank you!

@Alinaa facts. I think my next purchase is a cabinet instead of more plants π while they are all perfectly happy without one I am running out of room and I also love the idea of a cabinet of joy π
@PlantMompy The fact you have a wee baby pot flowering, blows my ever loving mind!! I cannot wait till I can get mine to bloom!!
@TheOddAsity I am pretty sure that age of a plant has to do with flowering, so I think with some props I get lucky because they are off an "older" plant so they flower sooner. But that could be totally wrong, lol
OMG what in the world does it take to make Hoyas bloom????? #Hoya #HoyaHeads
@YammieOf3 I know there are some great articles out there. I think Vermont Hoyas has a few.
Personally, I think a lot of light and neglect. π€·π½
