Help my poor aloe! I have to laugh because this must the one of the easiest plants to care for. The people who neglect their aloes seem to have to most big beautiful aloe plants! But I have been struggling with this one for the past year. I believe I over watered it for a while. I’ve stopped over watering it. The soil is dry. I watered it about two weeks ago. But now it’s looking sun burnt and thirsty. Should I water it? Move it? It’s in a porch with all windows and gets more sun fall and winter because the sun is lower in the sky and the leaves have all fallen off the trees. #AloeVera #Aloe #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #planthelp overwatering">#overwatering #theamigos #GregGang
1ft to light, direct
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 weeks ago
aloe vera plants prefer to be a bit root bound. In fact, their roots should take up about half of the pot's volume.

I wonder if the pot is slightly too big or maybe even too deep for it?
Honestly it looks really good don’t water it yet. Succulents take in water and hold them in their cells if it gets to much water they eventually burst and the affected leaves die and fall off. Which is why yours is giving you the appearance of sunburn. It’s not burnt just the older leaves that got damaged while overwatering are now dying off. The new growth looks beautiful! It’s standing up nice and tall and looks very healthy.

So, don’t panic 🫨. You have it in a nice looking chonky mix.
Mine usually looks like this if it gets too much direct sunlight. So maybe ignore it for a few days, water wise and change the spot it sits in.
@LuckyWoreya I’m really wondering if the sun being lower in the sky along with the leaves falling off the trees has changed the lighting, but no other plants are complaining! Good news is, I found two babies growing the aloe planter after I posted this! So all is not lost. She’s producing pups! πŸ₯°
