Blooming against the odds

I have had one heck of a year ... heck, I've had EIGHT tough years. 😆
Here's my official #BloomingSuccs post that encapsulates my year: I had a little cactus. I've had it for years. Overtime, it started to grow sideways. It made me smile. I thought growing sideways gave it character.
Last year, I realized it was rotting and I moved quickly to chop it and cut away the bad parts of my little cactus. It was sad. It was less than half the size -- it wasn't crooked any more; it was a nub. I thought it had lost its character.
I left it to dry and heal and then I placed it in some new soil. I often wondered if my little prickly pal was going to make it.
BUT! One day, I saw a little root reach out.
THIS WEEK it has FLOWERS! Bloom where you're planted.
