@MissBrittney Hi Brittney, I know exactly what you mean. I am in Brookville near Dayton, where are you? I started with Greg last year and this is my first winter-into-spring experience with Greg. I find it wonderful to be in contact with people on Greg who live all over the U.S. and even, many parts of the world. HOWEVER, and you are the first person I’ve said this to: All the people who live in warmer climates are DRIVING ME NUTS with saying spring is coming, spring is almost here, even, spring is here! I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade but though I am very happy for them, we don’t have spring in Ohio yet nor will we anytime soon. I mean, we are getting close to mid-February and that is all. So for us we MAY see some improvement by the end of March if we are lucky…..right? And sometimes not til we get into April and even then, sometimes we have surprise snowstorms. So, there I have vented. Your family is in Arizona? My daughter, her husband, and our 2 small grandkids are in FLORIDA. Yes, FLORIDA. ‘Nuff said. BTW please join #OhioGang if you haven’t already! To my southern friends, I AM truly happy for you. Just know we Greggers in Ohio are chomping at the bit. And will also be head-over-heels when our spring comes! Your day lilies, wow! I hope they survive. Of course spring bulbs are pretty hardy, staying in the frozen ground as they do, all winter. They will probably be ok. Are you north, or south of Kings Island? You are the closest person I have yet met on here. I don’t know of anyone else in southwestern Ohio. They all seem to be north and northeast that I have met so far. Good to have you here, neighbor! @MissBrittney I forgot to mention I am also a major outside gardener, with perennials, annuals, and vegs, mainly 🍅 tomatoes as far as the vegs. I’ve always liked house plants since I was a child but just recently really started expanding that collection. I’ve worked on my outside gardens since I married and moved into a house with yard…..many years ago. What do you grow outside? I too have daylilies in my perennial garden.
@AC73LoveCats I am from Ohio. My family moved to Arizona. Then my side came back when I was 2. I am about 2 miles from Kings island. It’s right next to the high school for my kids school district.
OIC! Ok, Kings Island is about an hour and a half from where I live, northwest of Dayton. It’ s the place we took our child and went with nieces and nephews as they grew. Just like my brother and I did with our parents to Cedar Point where I grew up. I look forward to talking with you about our gardens when our warm weather is here.
