I πŸ’š using mugs as plant πŸͺ΄pots ESPECIALLY my Greg mug!!

I've been waiting for the RIGHT plant photoshoot to display my mug I got a month ago πŸ€¦πŸΏβ€β™€οΈ

THANK you #gregteam for my mug, this awesome app, and the BEST #GregGang family, blame the tardiness on me being a #crazyplantlady πŸ€ͺ

Awww yahhh gonna go tell the thread
What a wonderful and creative idea! πŸ’š
Do you plant them directly in the mugs, or do you put nursery pots in them?
AHHH!! You have three of my favorite mugs! I have a unicorn mug, the Greg mug ... and my Jesus and Coffee mug hit the ground last month. πŸ˜”
@WickedValkyrie I put the nursery pots in the mugs. I change my mind way too much when taking plant photos! It's like trying to find the right shoes for the outfit! πŸ˜†
@sarahsalith Oh no!! I got mine at Walmart I think but if I see one somewhere I'll let you know!
@LatiTish84 Thank you! πŸ’š
I used to have a shirt that said:
Grace upon
Grace upon

Okay just wondering (: been thinking about planting some pothos in a couple mugs but wasn't sure the best way to do it... Nursery pots it is!
@WickedValkyrie that way you don't have to worry about drilling holes in mugs
Yeah I don't even have a drill so that's why I haven't planted anything in them yet... Lmao
Love it!
I do too! Altho I have planted directly… without drainage. We shall see how it works out. πŸ˜†
@WickedValkyrie @HpflHeart I have a secret! I use plastic cups that fit mugs perfectly!! Sometimes the red solo cups work if you trim off the top - and I melt holes in the bottom of the cups for drainage. You can use a screwdriver over an open flame for a bit to make the perfect holes.

The cups fit right into the mugs!
@sarahsalith ohhhhhh!! Fantastic idea!!
Gurrrrl! @sarahsalith thank you! I was like "how am I ever gonna find just the right size nursery pot for all my weird mugs??" Just make one! So clever!! πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€
@HpflHeart @WickedValkyrie

Here are some pictures. (: The possibilities are endless! It's also good because you can heat up some of the plastic cups to shrink them a bit and mold them to the mugs. 😁
