Beautiful additions for sure. I once had a cactus with that on top. I put in the full afternoon sun, which softened it enough to just pull it off. Glad you got yours off without a problem. Are those the green rose succulents? Beautiful!
I see a gnat sticky trap in your third picture. Those work better the closer they are to the soil. That's why they are made with pointy ends, so they can be stuck in the dirt. The gnats "live" and have babies in the top inch.
