About Variegated Arrowhead Vine
Syngonium podophyllum is a popular, easy-to-care-for houseplant with beautiful arrowhead shaped leaves. You’ll often see these plants grown in their juvenile stage, but given something to climb on and abundant sunlight you may see them mature into their adult stage! The leaf shape changes as they mature and may even appear to split into three individual leaves. In the wild they can climb up to 65 feet tall. Be sure to handle them with care, as their sap contains oxalic acid which can be very irritating to the skin and eyes. 👀

How to fertilize Variegated Arrowhead Vine

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Variegated Arrowhead Vine after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Can I cut up Aeris and prop? If so where do I cut? She lost all her leaves during the winter. She has little growth though. #Syngonium #PropagationStation #NewGrowth

One aerial root has reached down into the soil. And a couple of others are heading in same direction. What’s the best thing to do? Leave it alone? Repot? Add more soil to top? There aren’t any roots coming out of bottom. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #Syngonium #SyngoniumSquad #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #PlantCorner

Why is Sherlock still so leggy? So my #ArrowheadPlant is really leggy. Stems are really long. New growth looks healthy, variegation is gorgeous. And it’s by a cluster of grow lights! I feel so confused as it looks like lack of light buuuut that can’t be right. Any ideas how to make this guy bushier without chopping him up? 🌱☀️❤️

What even happened 😳 Been looking worse for the last few weeks, but this is the worst. Is there any saving her? Is it the soil [I added peat]?

Why is my Syngo Fantasy like this?? The white parts are becoming crispy and even brown, there are also like small brownish dots on some parts!! I’ve gone through reddit posts about people having the same issues as mine but people keep saying different answers so I’m super confused! #help

Is this a deformation? Each new leaf is majorly curling and I’m not sure this is normal. I bought this plant for my son who picked it out about 4 months ago from a very reputable nursery near us. It has been this way since we got it, and I’ve been doing all I can think of to help get the leaves to fully open and not curl. She started with two heavily deformed leaves. At this point it feels more like a deformity on the plant itself, but I’m still not sure. It was labeled a “rare plant” and we paid a decent price for it, and I’m feeling a little ripped off honestly. I had her in a neutral area for a bit with filtered light and then moved her to the window with bright direct light (she seems to like it here more and put out 2 leaves), but they are still heavily curled. Is there something I’m doing wrong or something else I can try? Thank you all!!

What other plant parents say

I neglected this plant VERY hard when I first got it 2 years ago. It was outside in perfect conditions but only got watered when I remembered. It was survival of the fittest and it has come out the other side! After a recent repot, moved inside and well looked after, it is thriving better than ever and is already spitting out leaves after 2 weeks.
Forever love this plant. Never give up on it
