About Spider Plant
Spider plants are an incredibly popular houseplant known for their ability to grow plantlets along their stems. These plantlets can be removed and grown to create new plants! Spider plants are used as a charm of protection by the Nguni people of South Africa, who dip the roots of spider plants in water to make a tea for pregnant mothers. 🫖

How to fertilize Spider Plant

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Spider Plant after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Help! :( I've only had this silly little plant for almost a week and I think I might've killed it by accident :( I got it some pest spray that's meant for indoor plants bc I saw some creepy crawlies in it. I sprayed it on the soil and the leaves and it now looks sad. I'm not sure if I should prune the mushy stems or not bc I'm not sure if it'll grow back. I have a leaf or two that look healthy and don't have mushy stems. What should I do? Will it grow back? I didn't water it too much since when I got it the soil was pretty moist already. The dirt in the leaves was my sad attempt at repoting it from the paper cup I got it from when I got it. #spiderplantproblems #spiderplant

Hey New to plants just got this spider plant! It has some brown leaves. Bent leaves and wilting leaves wondering if I should prune some of them or let it do its thing? Any advice to bring it back to life would be greatly appreciated! #SpiderPlant

Plant in quarantine ✅ Detective hat on ✅ I trimmed a ton of brown tips from this guy this morning which got me looking at it a little more closely. I saw some teeny dark specs on the leaves that could very well just be soil, but into quarantine it goes just in case. I’m running out of spaces to quarantine but managed to snag a bit of window sill in my partner’s office (the only windowed room not full of plants… yet). So fingers crossed that the trim + the maybe improved light situation are all that’s needed 🤞 Happy Easter Greg gang!

What other plant parents say

This is the only plant I didn’t kill when I first started getting into my green thumb. I have overwatered it, under-watered it, had its roots overgrow their pot and it still continues to grow for me(although it’s leaves brown very fast).
