About Spider Plant

Spider plants are an incredibly popular houseplant known for their ability to grow plantlets along their stems. These plantlets can be removed and grown to create new plants! Spider plants are used as a charm of protection by the Nguni people of South Africa, who dip the roots of spider plants in water to make a tea for pregnant mothers. 🫖

This is the only plant I didn’t kill when I first started getting into my green thumb. I have overwatered it, under-watered it, had its roots overgrow their pot and it still continues to grow for me(although it’s leaves brown very fast).

Spider plants are very easy to take care of, they don’t like direct sunlight nor too much heat. Once you find a spot with moderate temperature and indirect sunlight, she will thrive!

King of the houseplant. Loves most places you put it. I’ve found they love recycled metal tins as pots. Honestly, I love them so much. They don’t mind being a little root bound and it helps produce babies! They’re just grand. Get them and propagate to your hearts content!

i named my plant stripey, she was my sisters plant before she was mine so i want to say she’s about 2-3 years old. through the time i’ve had her i’ve had a lot of depressive episodes and forget to water her but she still survived! definitely a great beginner plant. she has two new blooms coming along which is exciting! i’m going to love her till the end.

I love this plant, it’s so easy to propagate and I regularly root and give away baby plants as gifts to friends and family. It’s a hearty plant that can handle a lot of sun but will still do well in a lower light environment. Doesn’t need high humidity and is pretty hearty if you forget to water it once in a while.
