Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your White-slonea migiurtina after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Not sure if my pseudolithos is getting enough water I have my pseudolithos in pure lava rock (I know it says perlite but there's no lava rock option), and I'm worried that the water is draining too fast and the plant isn't getting enough time to absorb any water. Should I mix a tiny bit of regular succulent soil in to give it more time to absorb water? I water it once a week like the nursery told me to, but it's still very compressed and wrinkly.

More silly solutions to plant problems! Pseudolithos migurtiunis are sensitive to just about anything, including drafts (rip my previous pseudolithos), and it's been pretty windy lately. So I made her a little nun hat out of a coffee filter to protect her from a surprise stiff breeze! #Pseudolithos #RarePlants #modernproblemsrequiremodernsolutions

A lot of people say that this plant is very hard to grow and will turn into mush the moment something goes wrong. Honestly, that intimidated me a lot. But it turns out that this plant is pretty forgiving!
I've knocked it out of its pot, broke a root off trying to replant it, forgotten to water it and then watered it twice in one week. She has to deal with the weird temperature fluctuations in my room every day. And she's still chugging along, looking like the most adorable little wart ever.
It's incredibly important that you keep a pseudolithos in lava rock or another well-draining soil, I think that's helping a lot. Also watering from the bottom up rather than top down helps encourage root growth.
Honestly the information on how to help it thrive is still rather sparse, so it's been kind of hit or miss. But if you're charmed by this strange little thing, don't let the rumors of difficult care put you off. Absolutely worth the $40 I spent on getting one.
