Speaking of holiday plants (I just posted about my literal late-bloomer amaryllis 😂), the beautiful, magnificent poinsettia my mother bought for me last month was immediately besieged by spider mites, and by the time I was able to kill them all, she’d lost all her gorgeous leaves 😭🍃 But being a patient and loving plant mom, I knew she just needed time to recover. Now she’s growing new leaves and will be lush again in no time. Never say die! Poinsettia Rescue My husband brought this Poinsettia home from his office. It was headed for the trash and he intercepted it. @StarryKentia I've got me one and will do my best to keep it alive. Is this normal? Hi community 👋 I have some doubts regarding my "noche buena". There are some red leaves with a soft texture falling. Also I have some yellow-green leaves that are also falling apart. It receives direct sun 3 hours a day and indirect sun the rest of it. I am thinking of getting this plant in the outside (although it will receive only indirect sun)....maybe it needs fresh air? Bought this at Home Depot last November. It was originally a big, lush plant with lots of pink leaves. I’m determined to keep it alive and it’s finally doing better. Hoping the pink returns to the leaves at some point.

I kept this in my windowless bathroom, where it somehow survived! Pretty plant had no idea it was an all year round plant. Sad people throw them out after Christmas so pretty ! Picky plant not consistent.

Even tho it’s an holiday plant. Immune is still striving to live. But there’s not much info how to actually take care of them or false info. I’ve nearly killed it a few times and panic every time cuz the plant is finicky

This plant was being thrown out after Christmas and didn’t look like she was going to make it. Walgreens let me buy for $0.36 and thought I was crazy for wanting it. With some love she came back to life and now is doing so good & beautiful! It shows the beauty and power of attention, love and nourishment on another living thing. 😊❤️✌️

Pointsettias are great at surviving - I forgot it in an area with no light for a week and it looked a little wilted, but perked back up immediately as soon as I gave her sunlight and watered.
