About Pineapple
After bananas and citrus, pineapples are the 3rd most cultivated tropical fruit 🍍. The plant can grow 2-4' tall and they have thick and spiky leaves that grow in a rosette. Pineapples used to be a symbol of luxury and are depicted in many works of art since the 17th century. They have also been fermented and used to make tepache in their native Mexico for thousands of years!

The quest to root the pineapple continues! I found this container of RootTone F in my room when I got home. I guessed it was from my dad. I immediately thought of using it on my pineapple. So, I took it out of its pot, which there were no roots, and ran some water over it. It looked like a fresh pineapple! I never knew it could turn so green again! Then, I dipped some of the rooting powder onto the base of the pineapple and put some in its pot as well. I hope it roots! Not pet friendly! This is the top of a commercial pineapple… I planted it in soil with some rooting hormone in August and it’s still green and growing now!

they grow p fast. my original one is already having to be repotted again. my cat is obsessed w it. sadly he ended up taking the small pineapple off the top and batting it around. it grew two new sprouts so i took one off and potted it. it hasn’t been too long and my tiny pineapple plant is already growing

I just took the top off of a pineapple from the store and it’s doing good! You have to propagate the top until roots grow long enough to plant :) super easy and I got pineapple out of it :D
