About Lavender Scallops
Plants in the Kalanchoe genus are native to Madagascar and tropical Africa. They range from rubbery green leaves, to leopard print, and some are even fuzzy! The word Kalanchoe comes from the Cantonese name for these plants, pronounced Ka-lun-koh-ee in English. Their succulent leaves help store water during droughts, so they'll be just fine if you skip a watering or two (it happens!).

How to fertilize Lavender Scallops
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Lavender Scallops after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

How can I get rid of gnats? I have three succulents I keep outside to get sunlight, Ive been watering them regularly but recently they have been getting gnats that I just can’t get rid of. Anyone have any advice on what I can do to prevent this? I’m a new plant mom so any and all advice is greatly appreciated. My #LavenderScallops has also been looking a little sad and I’m not sure if it’s because of the gnats.

What species is my plant? #Kalanchoe #plantsmakepeoplehappy #succulentsquad I got gifted two ( I believe are the same species of succulent, ? today and i can't seem to identify the name!!! The last photo, she had red edges, and a bit thicker leads than the other, and also seems to like to be tangled, as the other wants to vine or possible trell? Tips? They are in my room with a humidifier near, do they like direct or not direct bright light? I think the first plant had previously been a bit sunburned too, and could have been outside, they don't look like the lavender scallops photo but I had also gotten Mexican mint, I'm not sure!

Is my plant sad? The lower leaves seems pruny but there is new growth. Should I leave her be?

Help! I think I have a fungus and need to know the best ways to get rid of it. White fuzzy lumps that are not root nodes, clumped up the stem. This also seems to be attacking the base, as some stems seem to be rotting off the roots and falling off. #Kalanchoe
