About Kentia Palm
The Kentia Palm is a popular houseplant in temperate climates. They are well suited to containers and have a track record for surviving low light, dust, central heating, rough handling, drought, and neglect. Due to their large size, they make a good focal point in an interior or exterior landscape.

Finding light for Kentia Palm in your home
a window
Kentia Palm may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.

How to fertilize Kentia Palm
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Kentia Palm after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

My leaves are drying out #KentiaPalm

Mixed planter I have this planter which is a mix of a Kenyan violet, red prayer plant, parlour palm, Kenya palm, & a philodendron Brasil. I have it under a grow light at 12hrs a day since it’s wintertime. All of the plants are growing really healthily. The prayer plant has new growth and the violet had firm stems. I will be going away for one week. Then home one week, and away for two weeks (I am currently not actively trying to bloom the violet). I need some help to make sure the plant will be happy while I am away. I’ll water it its usual amount (about 2.5 cups) I do around 11-13 days and will likely add a beer bottle full for some extra water so it doesn’t dry. Should I prune the plants before I leave? If so how much? Any other suggestions?

Why does my plant look droopy #KentiaPalm

Stress from repot #KentiaPalm She is looking a little rough and rightfully so. I purchased a grow light for it when I repotted from a 10' to a 12'. It was very root bound at the bottom so to say that it was a process is an understatement. She's been peeking up a little since I put the grow light in last night but I feel like I should be doing more. Should I be doing less? Should I just leave her alone? I need an adult lol

I love this plant, first one we got when moving into our new house and it’s great for filling up spaces. I find mine nears regular watering every though it doesn’t get direct sunlight but I just give it a cup every couple of days and trim off brown bits when need be.
