Milky Widow's Thrill
About Milky Widow's Thrill
Plants in the Kalanchoe genus are native to Madagascar and tropical Africa. They range from rubbery green leaves, to leopard print, and some are even fuzzy! The word Kalanchoe comes from the Cantonese name for these plants, pronounced Ka-lun-koh-ee in English. Their succulent leaves help store water during droughts, so they'll be just fine if you skip a watering or two (it happens!).

How to fertilize Milky Widow's Thrill
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Milky Widow's Thrill after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Any advice on how long to wait to water after stem to soil propagation? I bought my Chloe, a Milky Widows Thrill really leggy, on sale. A month of better conditions, the new growth were more compact and she was getting top heavy. So yesterday I pruned her and applied rooting powder and stuck them in the soil. Searching online gives various advice for how long to wait for watering, in an effort to reduce root/stem rot. ; Anywhere from three days to two weeks. What have you found has been beneficial for your plants? #HappyPlants #PropagationStation #SucculentSquad #Kalanchoe

Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana (Flaming Katy/Florist Kalanchoe) soil question My mother in law left her kalanchoe and other plants with us this summer, and until recently, I figured she'd come back for them. I had no idea what her plants were until I did some research. I now realize the kalanchoe has been suffering for quite some time. 😞 She's super leggy, to the point I thought it was a vining plant. So I'm planning on pruning and repotting to something that drains better, but I don't have any succulent soil. I only have orchid mix and some sphagnum moss. I have seen that these babies need good drainage, so I was wondering if I could use what I have and maybe some soil from outside to help get this plant thriving again. #SucculentSquad #kalanchoe #flamingkaty

What's a good PLAIN soil brand to use in a succulent mix? I'm getting a Kalanchoe Flapjacks and an Echeveria Perle Von Nurnberg and making a homemade soil mix for them. It's going to be sand, soil, and perlite/pumice. But what ➡️BRAND⬅️ of soil should I use? (Sorry, I had to emphasize that part because last time I asked, people ignored it) NO MiracleGro, peat moss, anything with chemicals or stuff that holds water. Just plain dirt. Also, it would be easiest to get a soil from Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, Lowe's, or Calloway's. #succulentsquad #succulentlove #succulents #succulent #soilmix #echeveria #kalanchoe #flapjacks
