Hoya sipitangensis
About Hoya sipitangensis
With over 500 species and even more cultivars, there's a Hoya out there for everyone! They're native to Southeast Asia and their common name, waxplant, refers to their thick, waxy leaves which help them retain water in the heat. They're excellent climbers and will take off if you give them a trellis to grow on. Their other-worldly, star-shaped flowers are often fragrant and come in brilliant shades of red, pink, yellow, and more!

Finding light for Hoya sipitangensis in your home
Hoya sipitangensis may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Hoya sipitangensis in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Hoya sipitangensis
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Hoya sipitangensis after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Say hello to my little friends (Maisey) and 3 new baby leaves and the other leave sprouts I’ve been checking are getting bigger!! I guess it’s loving the new spot in the kitchen, and I finally had the courage to snip off a few floppy sad leaves…. I’ve never seen growth before on my #Hoya #NewGrowth #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Calling all Hoya lovers 💚 I’m looking to add a new Hoya to my collection and was hoping for some input from you guys. I can’t pick between the Hoya Krohania Super Silver or the Mathilda Splash. (I’m digging the speckles right now) I need an easy going & easy growing plant. Light isn’t an issue but I’m constantly battling humidity since I live in the desert. Anyway, any info or suggestions are welcome!! #HoyaHeads #HoyaHangout #Hoya #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #GregGang #PLANTMAFIA

Trellis Suggestions? I’m looking for a bigger circular trellis for this one and not having much luck. Love this thing and I’m not complaining how full it is getting, but any suggestions on where to find a decent one with a diameter of 16”+ would be greatly appreciated! #HappyPlants #TrellisAddict #Hoya
