About Hoya Krimson Queen
With over 500 species and even more cultivars, there's a Hoya out there for everyone! They're native to Southeast Asia and their common name, waxplant, refers to their thick, waxy leaves which help them retain water in the heat. They're excellent climbers and will take off if you give them a trellis to grow on. Their other-worldly, star-shaped flowers are often fragrant and come in brilliant shades of red, pink, yellow, and more!

How to fertilize Hoya Krimson Queen
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Hoya Krimson Queen after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Hi! My leaves are starting to turn brown. I think it might be overwatering? It was potted at a succulent shop in Tempe in a porous pot. They told me to spray Orchids fertilizer on it often. Is that really good for it? #Hoya

Thoughts?? Happy Friday! Houseplant care is relatively new to me, but so far most of my plants have been thriving. I checked on my Hoya this morning to look at her new growth, but I noticed that two of the white leaves are suddenly thin, soft and turning brown. This literally happened overnight. Does anyone know what could have caused this so suddenly? I appreciate any help!! #SucculentLove #PlantAddict #NewPlantMom

Ok, so true to my style it is definitely not fancy but... I made a different trellis for my Hoya because the cat one I made was not big enough. I had the vines all rigged up oddly lol. #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #diyplanter

What other plant parents say
I have anywhere from 8-12 new leaves growing at a time during the growing seasons. Now that winter has started it has slowed down. It loves plenty of sun but can sunburn. High sun makes the leaves grow smaller while low sun makes them bigger. White leaves burn easy and will die FAST if in direct sun. They do not produce chlorophyll so you need more green than white. They can be such a pretty pink when sun stressed! Easy peasy plant without high humidity requirements. :) My fastest and easiest grower and perfect plant for a beginner. Pruning will make her shoot out new growth even more!
