About Krimson Princess Hoya
With over 500 species and even more cultivars, there's a Hoya out there for everyone! They're native to Southeast Asia and their common name, waxplant, refers to their thick, waxy leaves which help them retain water in the heat. They're excellent climbers and will take off if you give them a trellis to grow on. Their other-worldly, star-shaped flowers are often fragrant and come in brilliant shades of red, pink, yellow, and more!

Krimson Princess Hoya problem #Hoya I noticed that a few of the lower leaves have been falling off..yellowish with brown areas that are translucent. Some leaves on the plant have a tan colored scarring look to them. I always let the soil dry out before watering. I have it in a terracotta pot and am using a sansi grow light. Thanks for any advice.

Can I stop spreading the brown spots on Hoya Krimson Princess? My tiny Hoya Krimson Princess sapling in LECA (recently I transitioned it from soil to LECA) got brown spots on a leaf and they have been getting darker day by day. Although I already cut off one leaf which had the same problem, it seems it couldnāt stop this infectious spots. Is there any way to save my baby? #Hoya

Hoya Krimson Princess I was looking at my Princess this morning and I was re-trellising some vines and noticed I have 2 low variegation vines? If you look at the photos, two of its newer vines are growing ānormalā patterns. Then, the two green vines have a leaf closer to the base that has small patches of cream, then the leaves after are just green. This plant sits in a corner with a South and west window that are perpendicular to each other and a humidifier is right next to it. Is this normal to have a vine that is just green? If not, what is recommended? Do I prune it back to the last variegated leaf? #Hoya #HoyaHangout #HoyaHeads #HoyaKrimsonPrincess #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #PlantAddict #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PLANTMAFIA #itrunsinthefamily

What other plant parents say
At least for me, this plant is a SLOW grower, but itās among marathon sprinter company. It can attract pests (mealey bugs)so check the undersides of the leaves, the new leaves and branching points. Knock on wood nothing so far, move it around until you find that sweet spot it likes then be patient. š
